When applying moisturizer after the shower, include nails and cuticles, even if you wear nail polish. Use moisturizers with urea, phospholipids or lactic acid.
Keep moisturizer everywhere: near kitchen sink, bathroom sink, bedroom, at workplace,bag.
Use ONLY non-scented moisturizers. As others can simply make your hands and nails even drier
Warm water baths for nails.
Your nails need baths as well, then use cuticle oil, vaseline or coconut oil on your nails and cuticles. Put on cotton gloves for an hour before you go to sleep.
Always Wear gloves when you are outside. Or when you do your house chores!
Don’t bite or peel your nails.
Allow your nails to breathe. Don’t apply nail polish all the time – give yourself a break!
Your diet affects the health of your nails. Eat food rich in protein (meat, lentils, beans) and Vitamin B – biotin (egg yolks, salmon, avocado).
